Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that Joey came home yesterday
(Sunday) after his latest 5 night chemotherapy treatment. He did
fairly well through it although by the end he was fairly
nauseous and threw up a few times. The poor little guy was
devastated on Saturday when he threw up after eating some pizza.
I think he couldn't believe that an old friend like pizza would
let him down like that. He also picked up a new thing while he
was in the hospital. Instead of crying and making a fuss he just
said "I'm Crying" to let you know that he was upset without
having to go through the whole theatrics. It was pretty funny.
This week will hopefully be pretty quiet but next week will be
fairly busy with Joe scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday March 28th
and another meeting set with Dr. McGrath (the surgeon) on Friday
March 31st to get a better idea of what the surgery will likely
entail. He should have a good idea after seeing the new MRI. The
surgery is tentatively scheduled for April 4th with April 11th
the fall back date in the event that Joe's blood counts are too
low to have the surgery on the 4th.
